Akimoto Nemu is a yandere character from the visual novel series Shining Song Starnova.

Background[]

She is in love with her idol producer Nishiyama Kaoru.

A wealthy heiress, Nemu wants to follow in her birth mother's footsteps and become an idol, against the wishes of her adopted mother Haruna.

Her yandere personality is revealed to be the result of a combination of hereditary psychosis her birth mother Sena succumbed to, the pressure of being Starnova’s center, and the frustration of Mr. Producer ignoring her romantic advances which causes Nemu to undergo sanity slippage. The other members of Starnova call her a yandere in-universe and are terrified whenever she slips into her crazy state, though in most routes she never attacks anyone and never tries to interfere with Mr. Producer’s love life.

She is prone to knife-waving bouts of intense jealousy.

(BAD END) She becomes increasingly violent towards perceived threats to her relationship, like Kaori, Mika, and even her own mother; deliberately crippling the former out of jealousy, and murdering the latter two.
In her good ending, she is able to overcome and find ways to manage her psychosis to a point where she is unaffected by it and can just be her normal affectionate self all the time.
