Due to living in a society where lewd things were banned and being raised by a mother who was extremely strict about enforcing this policy, Anna grew up to be very naive of lewd things. Anna admits that she is so naive when it comes to sexual things that she cannot tell what's inappropriate and what isn't. Even when looking at pornographic magazines she doesn't understand what is wrong with them. This causes her to be become extremely susceptible and when she ends up experiencing her first lewd act with Tanukichi she becomes convinced that it must be pure love because only "love" could make someone feel that good.

Perhaps the most infamous example of this occurs when she gives Tanukichi cookies which she had made with what she referred to as her "love nectar".
- After this her obsession with Tanukichi only got worse as she chased him around the school in order to taste some of his "love nectar".
- She became so obsessed with Tanukichi that when she started to get aroused by "another man", not realizing that it was actually just Tanukichi in disguise, she became so upset at herself for "cheating" that she jumped off the highest point of Yatsuga Forest in an attempt to commit suicide, though she survived and forgave herself after learning it was actually Tanukichi.
- From then on, any morally pure thing that Anna does is not only fueled by her mother's wishes, but also by her love for Tanukichi.
- She begins to grow extremely jealous whenever she sees Tanukichi hanging out with another girl.
- While Ayame and Tanukichi were having a conversation about how weird Anna had become, Anna suddenly broke through the fence in which Ayame was leaning on and held a pair of scissors to her head.
- After Hyouka and Tanukichi were arguing over the massage egg, she walked in and saw them together. She assumed that they were having sex and got so jealous that she broke the doorknob apart from the door.
- She stood outside Tanukichi's apartment watching him sleep with Kosuri for the whole night while holding a knife. To try to resolve the situation, Tanukichi had no choice but to lie to Anna and say that he and Kosuri were illegitimate siblings. After Kosuri pushed the "I love my big brother" act a bit too far, she threw the knife near Kosuri's head, pushed her to the floor, and casually stabbed around the floor around her barely missing her each time.
- Every time that she nearly stabs someone in the series, she usually says that her hand moved on its own showing that she doesn't even understand why she's doing these things.
- When Ayame admits that she confessed her love to Tanukichi, Anna slaps her so hard it knocks her out. She almost kills Ayame on the spot but stops only because Ayame is her best friend.
Redemption
When Ayame is exposed for being the leader of the ero-terrorist group Blue Snow and is set to be arrested, Anna is one of the people who joins Tanukichi to save her. After Anna confesses her love to Tanukichi she is ultimately rejected by him because he is in love with Ayame. Surprisingly, she accepts his feelings and goes back to being a normal girl again.
