Kakeru is a yandere love interest for his unnamed stepsister in the audio series Yandere Heaven volume 1.
Background[]
Kakeru is the listener's stepbrother from another marriage. His father divorced Kakeru's mother, which he was initially against. His father won custody over Kakeru and presumably moved to a different city. Kakeru's father started dating the listener's mother and they eventually got married. During the time that their parents were dating, Kakeru rebelled against his father. Despite his behavior, the listener was kind to him, leading to Kakeru becoming loyal to her.
Yandere Traits[]
Kakeru has always looked up to his big sister. Although he addresses her as his sister, he views her more as a woman than his sister. He desires to have a more intimate relationship and, in his ending, suggests that they could play a game together or do something "more fun". Since she was so nice to him after his father remarried, he has always been grateful to her and looked after her. He believes that he's the only one that can take care of his sister and refuses to let anyone be responsible for her. He doesn't like her spending time with other guys or their upperclassman Atsushi. He considers Atsushi a third wheel and frequently tries to chase him away just as Atsushi does to him. He at one point contemplates killing Atsushi just so he doesn't have to fight to obtain his sister's affections, but he doesn't go through with it. When she isn't with him, he excessively calls and texts her as noted during another track when she's at work. During his ending, he displays paranoid feelings of being abandoned by his sister, resulting in him imprisoning her. He is easily hurt by any perceived rejection from his sister and tells her how much he wishes she loved him as he loves her. His overly protective nature leads to him installing cameras in her room so that he can make sure she's not escaping and no one is trying to take her away from him. Also to ensure that no one finds her, he's willing to lie to other characters, including his own father.
