Introduced in 2nd season of the American psychological thriller television series You, Love Quinn (later Love Quinn-Goldberg) is a rare example of a yandere appearing in western (life action) media. She is portrayed by Victoria Pedretti.
Story[]
Despite appearing kind and peaceful, she suffers from severe jealousy and anger issues which more often than not result in murder. For most of the 2nd season, she appears to be yet another innocent young woman who is stalked by Joe Goldberg - the series' protagonist, and a yandere himself. While Joe dates her, she tells him about her late husband who allegedly died due to a medical condition years before and also mentions that her twin-brothers clinical depression stems from the fact that his teenage girlfriend commited suicide.
Her status as a yandere becomes apparent only at the end of the 2nd season when she brutally murders Delilah Alves and Candace Stone to protect Joe from being reported to the police. Later, it is also revealed that she killed her husband because he was trying to leave her and her brother's girlfriend due to jealousy.
In the 3rd season she is married to Joe and continues to kill everyone that seems to be an obstacle between them - much to the dismay of her yandere husband who has to clean up after her murders in order for them not to get arrested.
Yandere Traits[]
From her cute smile while killing people to her enormous jealousy, she fulfills every stereotype a yandere has.
Due to her appearence and likeable demeanor, people are easily manipulated by her and don't realize her true intentions until it is to late. Most of her murders are commited in rage and without much thought to them, which is why she has to rely on her experienced husband for covering her tracks.
