Meg Griffin is a yandere character from the cartoon series Family Guy.

Background[]

Though usually a normal, albeit disliked and bullied person in the show, Meg Griffin, full name being Megatron Harvey Oswald Griffin, showed great yandere tendencies towards her dog Brian Griffin in the Season 5 Episode 8 episode "Barely Legal". In said episode, Meg is shown crying and suicidal for not having a date to the upcoming junior prom, leaving Brian with no choice but to be her date. He goes to the prom drunk and, after defending Meg from her bully Connie D'Amico, makes out with Meg. This, unfortunately, causes Meg to fall hard for Brian, despite the fact that they have lived with each other for many years and that Brian was her father Peter Griffin's best friend. Brian, on the other hand, does not reciprocate her feelings; in fact, at that point in the series he was actively dating Jillian Russell at that time. This leads Meg down an obsessive path, and she eventually becomes a yandere, but just for that episode.

Though a seemingly one-off thing, Meg's yandere tendencies returned in the Season 9 Episode 12 episode "The Hand That Rocks the Wheelchair", where after she was given caring duties over her neighbor Joe Swanson from Joe's wife Bonnie, who had to get out of town, Meg slowly became obsessed with Joe, going as far as to frame Bonnie by planting a gun in her bag as she was flying home, and slowly changing herself to look and act like Bonnie. In fact, Meg's incident with Brian was mentioned in this episode by Joe. In the aftermath, Meg threw herself in front of Joe's police car so she could be paralyzed just like him, but it did not work. She later apologized, getting over her feelings.

Deredere Feats[]

  • The day after the dance Meg repeatedly texts Brian, caresses him, calls him "honey", and continues to think about their kiss.
  • Their "relationship" was teasingly encouraged by Meg's mother Lois initially, though once she learns about the kiss she forces Brian to fix things with Meg.
  • Repeatedly tries to hold Brian's hand while at the mall, even though Brian tried to let go.
  • Introduces Brian to her friends as her "first serious boyfriend".

Yanderu Feats[]

  • When Brian tries to tell her that they are not in a relationship, Meg immediately panics and assumes she messed up (that she did not sniff Brian's butt)
  • Ignores Brian's first attempt at telling her they are not in a relationship by becoming delusional and pretending that Brian was joking.
  • Bakes Brian a pie with her hair in it, calling it her "hair pie". The pie was later given to Stewie, who asked for some "cool hwhip".
  • Performs a weird ritual where she puts on Brian's collar and stares into the distance while turning a lamp on and off and playing an opera.
  • Converted her desk into a shrine for Brian, including pictures she took of Brian without him noticing, a clip of Brian's fur, and Brian's dog bowl and bone chewie.
  • Despite Brian yet again telling her that they are not in a relationship, this time with the help of Headmaster of the New York School for the hard of hearing Garrett Morris, she refuses to accept it and instead goes to the next level: kidnapping Brian, binding him to a chair, and tries to forcefully have sex with him.
    • Brian was able to distract her by questioning how she says "while". He was eventually rescued by Peter and his friends, who were working as cops in that episode. Despite this, Meg refused to stop, saying that "I've never been more certain about anything in my life. I need him!" Eventually, she was able to get over her obsession with the help of Glenn Quagmire.
