Rui Hoshikawa is a yandere character from the web series Tookago Yandere ni Naru Gal.
Background[]
Rui is a gal who is in the same class as the protagonist, who she nicknames Virgin-kun. Although she is popular with guys, because of her promiscuous appearance she is only approached by rough delinquent boys whom she dislikes. She is in actuality a virgin herself so she fell in love with Virgin-kun because of his innocence. She has stated that she hates pushy guys and prefers teasing innocent boys instead.
She first started teasing Virgin-kun by cheekily looking at him in class every time the word "sex" was mentioned in sex education class. She started to fall in love with him after he saved her from getting hit on from a group of delinquent boys by pretending to be her boyfriend. From this moment on she began teasing him doing and doing things a girlfriend would do, though she says she'll save the rest for when they're a real couple.
She has only ever had one boyfriend before Virgin-kun, however, he suddenly broke up with her one day and told her she looks ugly without make-up which caused her to develop trauma and become afraid of getting close to others. So although she likes Virgin-kun a lot, she at first says she's content with just teasing him. She mistakenly believes her first boyfriend broke up with her only because he saw her without makeup on, however, he actually broke up with her because she has a tendency to become obsessively clingy with the person she is dating and he couldn't handle her heavy affection.
She will become yandere in 10 days because of Virgin-kun.

However, when Virgin-kun makes a sudden firey confession to love her for the rest of his life and yells his desire to marry her she suddenly snaps into a deep obsessive love.
- When she hugs Virgin-kun she tells him she'll try her best not to be too clingy, but inside her head she is repeating "I love you! I love you! I love you?" over and over again while thinking that she's all his.
- When she sees Virgin-kun talking to another girl she becomes jealous and begins thinking about how she can't forgive him for cheating on her, though she never says this out loud. As a result she decided to "punish him" by having sex with him. She then tells him she saw him looking at another girl's breasts before telling him hers are better.
