Ryoba Aishi is a yandere character from the video game series Yandere Simulator.
Background[]
Ryoba Aishi was born in 1971 to Dozuki and Subaru "Sureibu" (Katakana transcription of the English word "slave") Aishi. Most of Ryoba's childhood was spent with her grandmother, Kataba Aishi. She adopted her "sweet, gentle" personality with a sadistic interior from her grandmother, who raised and slipped in information for Ryoba regarding murder and seduction. Inspired by Kataba's devotion and time to raise her, she raised her younger sister with the same love and attention their grandmother provided five years later. As a result of being raised by her grandmother, she harbored resentment towards Dozuki, raising her sister with a mindset to "surpass" her mother and allow her grandmother to rest. These details shaped Ryoba into who she was.
As a young girl, Ryoba was troubled with the Aishi Condition, which often left her hollow and empty, unable to feel any emotions except pity. This condition was considered to be normal in her family, as her relatives felt the same until they met their senpais.
Every night, Ryoba had the same dream that plagued her: she meets a boy, falls in love with him, rears his children, and lives a happy life together forever. As she enrolled in Akademi in 1988, she found the senpai of her dreams, Jokichi Yudasei. She lay low during her first year, only striking during her second year when she learned that one of her peers in the same year, Sumire Saitozaki, had a crush on him. She lured the unsuspecting woman into the third-floor bathroom using a note, had a small conversation with her, stabbed her in the head with a knife, and disposed of the corpse and evidence. Due to an unwiped blood stain on the bathroom floor and a nosy witness, an investigation for Sumire was launched.
In the same year, Ryoba stopped ten girls from interfering with Jokichi. She kills an additional five girls and spares the remaining half, often manipulating the events, other people, or the rivals themselves. When murdering her rivals, she often utilized her environment, creating elaborate scenes that are often declared as "accidental deaths" upon investigation.
She attempted to confess to Jokichi on the cherry tree hill, but was stopped by a journalist and police officers, who took her to a courthouse. Despite this abruption of events, Ryoba used her manipulation skills to win the case and defame the journalist who had long placed his suspicions on her due to the first murder Ryoba performed. Due to the sudden change of events, Ryoba abducted Jokichi and held him captive in her basement, documenting their first encounter with a tape recorder, as she did not want to go through the pain of being rejected.
Between the stretched years of 1990-2026, Ryoba bore a daughter in 2007 and raised her with Jokichi, who was her husband. Her daughter, like her mother, suffered an inexplicable and unexplained condition where she could not feel any emotions. Before Ayano started her day in Akademi, Ryoba found the journalist and began her pursuit of him, intending to end his life. She, alongside her unwilling husband, left their daughter, heading to the United States, tracking the journalist.
